Noch nie dürfte ein Mensch mehr Ecstasy zu sich genommen haben. Dem britischen "Guardian" zufolge konsumierte ein Mann jahrelang bis zu 25 Pillen pro Tag. Doch die Party hatte Nebenwirkungen.


London - Fast zehn Jahre lang war der Brite schwer abhängig. Das haben jedenfalls laut "Guardian" Ärzte von der Londoner St. George's Medical School berichtet. Insgesamt soll der heute 37-Jährige 40.000 Pillen genommen haben. Das ist angeblich die bislang größte bekannt gewordene Menge, die je ein einzelner Mensch in seinem Leben konsumiert hat. Bislang sei 2000 Tabletten der Rekord gewesen.

Der Brite habe bereits vor sieben Jahren dem Ecstasy entsagt, nachdem er einige Male auf Partys zusammengebrochen war. Wenig verwunderlich ist, dass er noch heute unter den Folgen der Spaßdroge leidet. Er klagt über Gedächtnislücken, Halluzinationen und Depressionen. Außerdem sollen seine Hals- und Kiefermuskeln so sehr versteift sein, dass er oft seinen Mund nicht öffnen könne.
