„Welcome to the Jungle“ oder „Willkommen in Mannheim“ – seit Jahren gilt die Stadt zwischen Rhein und Neckar als eine Hochburg der Drum’n'Bass- und Jungle-Szene. Außenstehende nehmen das eher selten wahr, denn die Community ist nach wie vor im Underground zu Hause. Gelangweilt von der Aussicht auf kommerziellen Erfolg, besteht ihre Motivation in authentischer Musik und einem individuellen Way of Life.

Die Doku JUNGLE 68, produziert von Katja Batzler, René Hamann, Claudia Barthold, Bastian Thomanek und Daniel Herbert, aus dem Jahr 2002 gibt einen Einblick in die Mannheimer Jungle-Szene, einer vom Mainstream unberührten Jugendkultur wie sie heute nur noch selten anzutreffen ist.

Anschlußparty in der Basskantine Mannheim mit dem “JetztMusik Festival @ Basskantine | SOHO-CLUB / Mannheim“. Eine Zeitreise verschiedenster Drum & Bass Styles. Ab 23:00Uhr. Eintritt frei.

Nymfo – FABRICLIVE x Commercial Suicide Mix (Mar 2012)

Klute’s Label “Commercial Suicide”, ist mehreren Künstlern innerhalb der Drum & Bass  Szene im Laufe der letzten 10 Jahre ein Zuhause gewesen, welches kürzlich mit einer  Compilation gefestigt wurde. Auch auf dieser Compilation vertreten ist, der vom  Holländischen Volke zum 2. Male zum “Best Dutch Dj” gewählt wurde, “NYMFO”. “Bardo-Lager”, wie seine Mutter ihn kennt, besitzt eine Diskographie, die sich über einige Top D&B Labels streckt. Releases auf Labels wie z.b. Shogun Ltd, Renegade-Hardware, CIA und Dispatch machten 2007 ihn neben “Icicle” beim Labelchef von Critical Music, “Kasra”,  auf sich aufmerskam. Med School Music – Blood Pressure (MEDIC27)

In den letzten 6 Jahren kamen auf dem Hospital Sublabel viele Releases raus, die sich eher vom Mainstream Label Hospital abheben. Auf Med School wird halt eher Minimal Sound verkauft und dafür gibt es ja mittlerweile einen genauso großen Markt.

Mit Blood Pressure (Blutdruck) ist nun das nächste Album mit jeder Menge Tunes von Top Produzenten wie Bop, Unquote, Blu Mar Ten und Synkro erschienen. Die Creme de la Creme sozusagen auf einem Album. Die Tunes gehen in die Richtung Garage, Dubstep and 2step. Aber auch die DnB Minimalisten kommen hier voll auf Ihre Kosten. Ein Klasse Album. Release Date ist der 5. März 2012.
