Moldovian producer Skyweep is a young, new face that is already taking bigsteps towards being a well-known producer. Known for chilled out, jazzy and soulful sounds, Skyweep’s first release got picked up by Australian label, Silk Recordings. Since then, he has secured singles and extended player releases on Fokuz, Love Recordings, Plush Recordings, Intelligent Recordings, and Influenza Media, while releasing a total of 16 tracks for the Dutch label, Celsius. His achievements at twenty years of age are what dreams are made of – appearing at the top list of the likes of Juno, Beatport, and many online shops. His music is accompanied by heavy support, including the likes of John B, Electrosoul System, and Stunna. Maksim has been featured on Bassdrive and many other guest radio spots.
A: MAGICAL BOARD
Magical Board is a journey around the mystical cosmos. Undermined by the sounds of liquid and jazzy drum ’n bass, the Moldovian keeps the vibes rolling, similar to the styles of Defunked Records, Carlito & Addiction, Marcus Intalex and Total Science from back in the days. Sweet melodies interlace the drums and float on air.
B: SPEEDY WIND
A bit more enigmatic than the previous, Speedy Wind houses melodic and aggressive elements, whipped up into a dessert of dancefloor tastefulness. The attack starts early, marking a target on to the bass bins. Magnificently crafted (and interesting tune names to compliment), a brilliant tune to finish out another great Blu Saphir release.
